no drinking BEFORE meals?

I was reading someones blog today and they said they are not allowed to drink 30 minutes before a meal in addition to after. Is this anybody elses rule? What is the reason? I have been drinking pretty much right up until I start eating, but sometimes I think that I am full very quickly because I have too much water in my stomach for food (if thats possible) and I will notice I get hungry again pretty quickly once I start drinking 30 minutes later. I had decided I was crazy and obsessed with food so I disregarded it, maybe this is the reason?

  • Also NO drinking with meals. It's called the 30-30-30 rule.

That video on YouTube is about gastric bypass patients who do not have a pyloric valve. They have a small stoma. With VSG our pyloric valve is still intact.

  • I have been told that you can't drink until 30 minutes after a meal. This is has been hard for me to get used to, as usually drink a lot during meals.

I was a relatively low bmi case. But I drink with meals. I know I'm not supposed to but it helps me get in more lean proteins .

Last week my nut said that it moves the food quickly so that u are hungrier sooner.

I don't drink 10 to 25 mins before because I have drank some water forgot that I did and tried to eat which lead to me throwing up. It has happened several times I also do not drink during a meal. It was hard at first but gets easier as you go one.
