Date, Approval & Insurance

I have a web site for my insurance company..Its say I have been approved 100% and it has a "start" date of Oct 29 & the "end" date is blank..I have not gotten a phone call yet. I was with my surgeon on Monday night, when he said all things were a go! Wednesday I got a call from his office saying they needed a referral from my PCP. Its Friday morning & everything seems to be going my way 0n FRIDAY the 13th, so it only took 4 days from submitting to approval...BUT does that start date mean thats my surgery date?? or nothing can be started til after the 29th??...I'm a wreck & waiting for that phone to ring...I don't want to call them..I'll wait til after 3...seems like people get their calls aroung 2-3...omg...

  • They sometimes enter an arbitrary date in for insurance approval, so it is possible that the date could be different....but Congrats!!!!

I don't think that date means anything. When mine was approved the insurance company told me the end date was Oct 28 but when the surgeon's office called three days later to schedule it the first date they had available was Oct 31! Just be patient and wait for that call and you'll get all the answers you need!! :-)
