Discouraged :(

I'm 3 weeks out and I must say I expected to have lost more than I have.

Day of surgery I was 240....today I am 225. Is this good weight loss? I know everyone loses differently, but I have neen following my diet to a tee. My weight keeps fluctuating. Ill lose then gain a few. I thought this didn't happen until later on.

Any advice?

This happened to me too. I have only lost 9 pounds in 4 weeks. I went to the NUT and she told me to try to get my poop regular with MOM and Miralax. Well I tried and today- my weigh day and finally lost 2 more.

hw-272' date=' preop diet day 1-267, day of surgery- 255, 2 weeks op 245, 4 weeks post op 235[/quote']

What are you using? Miralax and wjat else? I think that may my issue. I haven't been regular at all.

I am 4 weeks out today and have only lost 17#. I have lost NOTHING for 18 days. I guess I will have to their my scale off a building too. Hoping to start exercising and will see more loss. Reading this tonight really made me feel better. A lot better! I'm glad I'm normal. I was beginning to wonder if my stomach is too loose or the surgery won't work...

I'm almost 9 weeks out and have lost 32 lbs as of this morning (I only weigh once a week on Friday mornings). Given how much I have to lose, I've been surprised that I haven't lost more, but I'm happy that the scale is moving in the right direction. I am going to try to up my exercise with more time at the pool, since I am now having problems with my knees (which I never had pre-op...go figure!), plus I think I need to go back to having a Protein shake in the morning (I'm just having a hard time getting those last 20 grams or so of protein in everyday).

Hang in there - we're gonna get there! :)

Vitamin C helps with constipation!! I chew 1000mgs and I'm on iron pills 3X a day! Never constipated.
