That depends on what your doctor told you. I could only walk for the first four weeks.

you should already be trying to walk as much as much as possible. At about 3 weeks I was released to start some cardio at the gym I did the stationary bike and the elliptical. After about 1 month I started strength training at the gym, started off light and worked my way up. Good Luck.

I avoided any exercise that overly involved the abdominal area. No sit-ups or full push-ups for a year. I took it real easy, didn't work against pain.

Otherwise, I exercised like a madman. It made a BIG difference.

I'm stuck with walk for 4 weeks....
