Yay!

12 days postop and I am finally feeling better! I'm drinking better and I FINALLY found a protein shake that doesn't make me want to puke everytime I drink it! I ate about 4oz of soup yesterday...it was so dang good. Actually have some energy today and pain is almost gone. So for anyone thats struggling just hang in there. It really does get better.

What's the name of the protein and what flavor. I haven't had any protein shakes yet and I'm 11 days post op. I must admit I'm afraid of how the protein shake will taste and make me feel.

Premier Protein in the chocolate flavor. I tried Pure Protein and Chocolite and both were disgusting!!! The Premier is by far the tastiest...and I dont usually like anything chocolate flavored but they did say our tastes would change after surgery. I bought it at Sams. It has 30gm of protein and only 1gm of sugar. 3.5gm of fat and 160 calories so its a good choice but just be careful if you're lactose intolerant. It has milk in it.

That's what I use too. I used the EAS chocolate fudge at first, but it was only 17 g of protein. The Premier has 30 g per container. You can get it at SAMs
