I'm alone: I hate this.

I am probably totally alone in this but from the bottom of my heart I HATE this surgery, I would take every single one of the 55lbs I have lost back and more for the ability to undo this. Since the moment I woke up from surgery just over 8 weeks ago my life has been pure hell. I can't help but be jealous of all the people who can say this is the best choice they've ever made, for me it's ruined my life.

I just want my life back, I want to be able to take care of my family, I want to not need medication just to get through my day.

Sorry for the putty party but I'm sick of this hell I live in now, I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason but I really can't figure out why this has happened to me.

  • Times, I know having a leak was hard on you. It certainly made recovering from a major surgery about a 1000 times harder and longer. The only thing I can say is that I've been here long enough to

My heart breaks for you!! I hope you recover soon and you can enjoy your weight loss!!! Keep us posted. I am having the surgery and fear a leak. How was your discovered? Again, best wishes.

how did you feel when you had your leak.. I've been through a lot too I got a really bad infection and they kept me for two days they say the problem was. with my kidneys not my stomach... but I've been so tired from my surgery now I'm in bad pain and I need to go get takeout... my eye teared Up that's how bad I've been in pain... I don't regret my surgery yet because my weight has paid off but I have a great pain that I've been through and how sick I've been.. I wish I would have found all the information I knew before I had surgery and the apps... but you will make it through it it does take time and patience.. I truly understand how you feel ...

I had a leak which is, we pray, is closed, since they decided it was closed I've been going through the hell of trying to wean off of the MASS amount of pain meds I was on and to top it off I have thrush so bad this week I've eaten 4 times since Monday.

Even when I feel "ok" I can't eat more than 2 bites, less than an ounce, and I am so full I am in horrible pain because my stomach shrunk even more due to not being able to eat because of the leak. I can't eat so I have no energy, my body is in constant pain. And just for fun my hair is falling out in handfuls if you touch it.

My heart goes out to you but in time wounds do heal and you will be just fine. You have made it this far and your still breathing even through the hard times. Don't let your setbacks determine your future. I'm praying for you and I know you will be back on your feet in no time....

You WILL get through this, and I hope, for your sake you get the help you need getting off your meds. You didn't really specify if it was hell coming off them because you are still in pain or if it was bad because you have developed a physical dependence, but either way its not your fault, and if you need help please let your doctor know.

The good news is that everything you are talking about sounds like it will get better with time. Leaks happen, and it can really set things back, but when you come out of that and into normal sleeved life I think you will feel differently.
