I'm wondering if anyone cheated on their post op diet and the consequences.

I didn't cheat. It's not safe, not wise, and very counterproductive to why 85% of a persons stomach was cut out.

i have a family member that is post op and was sleeved about a month before i was. she throws up a lot of the stuff she is supposed to eat. lately she has been eating whatever the hell she wants and i am jealous. when i say whatever i mean WHATEVER, french fries, fried chicken, fried shrimp, caesar salad and croutons, pie, tacos, steak. she has been fine and she is just one month out. i am a chicken **** and wouldnt dare eat those things because i would be terrified that i would die (aside from the weight question) so far, i havent seen any consequence for her and she says that she can keep food she likes down.

Has she lost weight? I throw up some of the food im suppose to eat because of the smell but it's gotten better. I would be worried about stretching the sleeve when eating foods to early.

she is down like 70 lbs 30 before the sleeve and 40 with. i think she is in a stall now, but most people say they hit a stall so im not sure if it is the eating or the process.

I am 4 months out and eat very little of those foods. I wouldn't have dreamed of eating that stuff one month out because of fear. I have trained myself to stay away from all those foods because it is easy to start packing the weight back on, I have seen it happen. Not saying I don't treat myself once in awhile but the healthier you eat the better you will feel. Trust your judgement and stay away from all that fried stuff, you will be better off.
