Mirena IUD & Surgery?

I've had the Mirena IUD for a year now and I was wondering if anyone knows if I can keep it in during surgery. Most people say its ok because the hormone dose is pretty low.. Just want to make sure. I see my PCP tomorrow and the surgeon for Pre Op appointment next week so I will double check with them. Thanks

I have mirena and it was absolutely no issue at all with surgery

I have had the Mirena IUD for years. I was just sure to tell the docs that that was one of my meds. Since surgery i have not had any changes. My menstrual cycle is still very scant and irregular.
