Hungry?

So are any of you actually hungry right after surgery? I will be in the hospital for 2 nights and from what I've been told its ice chips only the first 24 hours. I'm just curious if your actually hungry or if ice chips is about all you really want??

Im 4 days out I think I may have been hungry twice, but Im still not sure I was. Im not hungry at all and have no desire to eat. I am only doing so because my nutritionist said I have to and I wont heal plus my hair will fall out without protein. Based on the posts I have seen I am assuming this will change but this has currently killed my love affair with food and even my normal primal urge to eat to survive.

I just had surgery yesterday, I couldn't have anything (ice chips/water) til today after I passed the leak test.

I'm NOT hungry at all. But I'm sipping my water and tried some protein powder in some soup, had 3 sips and that was enough!

I didnt even think about food post op. Now two months out I eat about 600 calories a day.
