Why am i so hungry? Grrr

I am 6 days out. I have moved to puréed food. I drank a protein drink this morning and went to a dr appt with husband. We were gone about 4 hrs. Starved when I got home. Had a bowl of powdered protein chicken soup. Hubby made chicken and dumplings. I gave had about 9 oz total today of the juice fom the dumplings. I've had 2 sf Popsicles and a sf hello. Just ate 2scrambled eggs. What the heck is wrong with me?

I am preop but I know if I go too long without eating, I will feel like I am more hungry, which leads to eating more than I should. Perhaps that 4hr stretch was too long.

Did you take any water or some type of fluid with you whole you were out to help keep your belly from becoming completely empty?

I have to eat every three hours...just 2 oz at a time but if I don't I feel very hungry! I'm hoping that now that I just started soft foods that the hunger will subside a bit. I'm not one of the people that never feels hungry. The head hunger and wanting to eat things that I shouldn't be eating has gone away...the empty feeling in my stomach, however, is very real.

I've been really hungry too. I'm 9 weeks out, eating about 6 oz per meal...but still hungry in between meals. It's really frustrating...
