Good for you. I bet you can't wait to get home. That left incision seems to bother most everyone. I think it goes away in a week or so. But my surgery isn't till Aug. 23, so I'm no expert. Glad to hear you're not in bad pain after 2 days. I don't even know what sipping is like. I figure I'll start out small and increase slowly so I know what I can tolerate. Is cold liquids ok, or does warmer liquids go down easier?

I actually found that cold liquids made my stomach feel better, I sipped a shake in the hospital this morn and it was room temperature, I think it would of been better cool!! I really LOVED the ice chips the best!!! I didn't realize how big ice chips actually were!!!

Also the sipping for surgery didn't happen until after surgery....I gulped before, and let me just tell you...you CAN'T gulp it hurts SO bad!!!

That left incision hurts so much because that is the one that they pull your stomach out of.....So it is put under strain a bit..That is why it is sore...

Happy you had an uneventful clean experience....You are now on your was...Congrats!!!!!!!!
