3rd Day of Pre-Op diet

I'm on day 3 of pre-op diet (sleeved on August 5th). I'm not going to lie... these first few days have been tough. Day 1, got through the morning fairly easy; by afternoon I was sluggish. I went home and had drained Healthy Request cream of chicken soup (which was surprisingly satisfying), and went on a family walk w/ wife and kids. When I got home, I could hardly keep my eyes open and crashed. I woke up yesterday feeling different... a good different. Almost like a cleansed different (I don't know if that makes sense, but it's the only way I can describe). Yesterday wasn't as bad as Monday, but was tough. Followed the same routine, but didn't crash last night. Woke up this morning feeling good, and we'll see how the rest of the day goes. Sure, the pre-op diet isn't pleasant, but I'm going to own it and become a better me.

My pre-op diet is to habe 3-5 Protein shakes a day and to get in 700-900 calories. I am also allowed to strain soup but I made sure to choose the lowest carb soup that I could stand. Just having some thing that wasn't sweet was awesome. I can also have sugar free popsicles which I love and they give you the benefit of actually biting into something which was awesome to be able to do. My hubby has been so good about not eating in front of me but right now I am not craving anything really.

Of course' date=' if I could I think I would have a pizza funeral....missed that one. LOL[/quote']

I'm tryin to go in slowly on this whole Pre Op diet...

Switched from Dr. Pepper to Diet Dr. Pepper ... Gonna try to slowly get off of them... Don't know how I will make 2 week liquid diet YIKES!!!
