Your doc should have prescribed u some if not call them and ask them

My doctor told me to take Pepcid AC's at least for the first year. Every doctor is different, call your doc.

Suggestions?

Did you get a list of approved meds? It's usually on that list. Tums is ok. As is the Pepcid AC someone else suggested. But alway check with your doc...

Are you taking a PPI?

Are you taking a PPI?

My doctor recommended Omeprazole (which is the active ingredient in one of those well-known brands - I think Prilosec?), which is a PPI. They wanted me to take them for the first 6 weeks, which I did. However, I am at 4 months out now, and have been having some recurring heartburn problems, so I am going back on the Omeprazole for 2 weeks to try to knock it out. I get the generic form of it at Costco - MUCH CHEAPER than buying the name brand! And it works just as well.
