Is it a bad idea to color your hair post surgery?

No, color it. I had mine done right before surgery and continued on a regular basis.

Not at all, although if you find your scalp is sensitive to haircor no joke put a packet of Splenda in the the mixture before it goes on your head and you'll be good to go =)

I colored my hair regularly (every 6-8 weeks or so) after getting sleeved. You're going to have some hair loss no matter what and I don't think the hair coloring exacerbates the issue too terribly much.

I do recommend you get your hair colored as close in time prior to getting sleeved as possible, because for sure the 4-6 weeks following surgery you're not going to want to mess with things like that (if you color your own hair).

My sleeve was 6/26 and I just had my hair colored. No problem

Thanks to everyone who responded. I felt like I was in no mans land about getting my hair colored. I'm not getting sleeved until the end of this month and I do need to get my hair cut and colored. I will try to wait another week or so before I have both done. I usually get it done about every 6-7 weeks. Waiting will put me at 8 weeks. I am extremely happy to know that coloring my hair won't be problem post op.
