frustrated

:help:Hi, My name is Kaye i am 50 yrs old and had my lapband done on 28/11/06. I was pretty happy after the first two weeks when i went back to the surgeon for my first check up and had lost 6 kgs, i also had my first fill. Since then i have not lost any weight and am constantly hungry. I dont go back to the surgeon until the middle of Feb which to me is a long way away. I have planned a holiday to Fiji with my family for the 2nd March and was hoping to have lost a lot of weight by then but am worried it's not going to happen. I am feeling very depressed about the lack of weight loss, maybe i was hoping for a miracle!

Relax, this is the time for healing up more than weight loss. After you have a few fills, you'll get some restriction and you'll start to lose. Right now, just concentrate on healing up properly!

Betty is right, at this time you should concentrate more on healing than losing. Additionally, many people do not get proper restriction after just one fill. Many take 2-3 fills before they begin feeling restriction. But, once you do, you will know it and things will start happening.

Hi Kaye, my doctor does fills 2 weeks apart. Maybe you could get in earlier than February for yours. Don't worry too much about the weight loss. You are still early out in the process. You will do fine.
