I already had my six months of weight loss documented, and the only thing I'm waiting on is the psych eval which is next week. After that how long should it take for approval? And do they approve on a case by case basis, or am I good as long as I meet the standard criteria? I have bcbs of mi. Thanks!

I have BCBS of MN and i got approved about a month after they submitted. I'm not really sure if it's case by case, i think as long as you meet all the criteria that you'll be fine. Good luck!

Mine took just a little over a week once it was submitted. I think it depends on the workload of the nurse or person who reviews your file at the insurance company. Once my file was reviewed, it was approved within 24 hours!
