Let's talk GAS!

When does it go away? it's driving me insane!!! Worse than the incision pain or the acid (close 2nd BTW), this gas is unbearable! I'm taking like 4 gasX pills a day and walking around my apartment and outside. Even doing light chores like sweeping and moping! I can't sip too much water and it's HOT so I'm avoiding too much outside walking. What else can I do to get rid of this gas. I'm so done with it!!!

I was sleeved yesterday by Dr. Gorecki at Methodist hospital. So far so good! Good luck to you!

Do they let a family member spend the night? Can you tell me about the surgery? Since thats where i will have it.

They do not let family members stay the night, or at least I did not see an accommodation for anyone else except the patient. My surgery was at 10:30am I arrived at 830am for registration and pre op. they gave me iv and I had to sign papers related to anesthesia and consent. I was walked into or and preped on table. Everyone was super nice and explained everything as it went along. I woke up 2 hours later and brought to recovery and stayed there for about 2 hours. My family came to visit in recovery and then I was taken to my room. I was there over night and was discharged around 530 pm. They wanted to make sure I could drink liquids. That's it in a nutshell!
