  3. What do you consider a mini meal? I'm on purée foods now and have to eat 4 to 5 small meals to get in my protein and I am consuming 3-4 oz at each meal and still not breaking 500 calories.
  4. I'm on clear liquids for one more week then purée! I can't wait!
  5. I'm tolerating liquids, getting my protein and walking but the problem I'm having is I have an itchy rash all over my body and its driving me crazy! I've scratched so much I drew blood. The dr. Said he didn't want to give me any medicine since I need to focus on my recovery and didn't want any medicines that may cause side effects. He said to wait it out and apply anti itch lotion its nothing to worry about.. This is by far the worst feeling I've had.
  6. They do not let family members stay the night, or at least I did not see an accommodation for anyone else except the patient. My surgery was at 10:30am I arrived at 830am for registration and pre op. they gave me iv and I had to sign papers related to anesthesia and consent. I was walked into or and preped on table. Everyone was super nice and explained everything as it went along. I woke up 2 hours later and brought to recovery and stayed there for about 2 hours. My family came to visit in recovery and then I was taken to my room. I was there over night and was discharged around 530 pm. They wanted to make sure I could drink liquids. That's it in a nutshell!
  7. I was sleeved yesterday by Dr. Gorecki at Methodist hospital. So far so good! Good luck to you!

  9. I'm home and feel great, but I think I'm just happy to be home. It'll sink soon enough when I freak out about getting my liquids in. I downloaded an interval timer app and set it for 15 minute intervals to make sure I drink 2 ounces each time it rings. Lets see how long that lasts! Lol GREAT JOB EVERYONE!

  13. I've been on liquids since yesterday. No 2 week pre op liquids, thank goodness. The 4th was enjoyed with a visit to Coney Island for some fireworks, Nathans hot dog and cheese fries ! I have a 8:30am checkin for 10:30 am start time! Woohoo. May we all have a comfortable and uneventful recovery!
