  • Ask your PCP for a referral - he or she may know which bariatric surgeons are recommended in your area.
  • Web searches are your friend, as well. Try searching for "sleeve gastrectomy" plus your area in New York as a place to start.
  • Once you have some surgeons that you're interested in, come back here and do a search for information that may have already been posted, as well as asking about specific surgeons.
