  1. I had been a vegetarian for 3 years, then I stopped for 3 years..now I feel like it's time to return to a vegetarian diet. however, my nutritionist strongly advised me not to go vegetarian until the summer. she said i need to get in a lot of protein once i'm sleeved and it'd be harder as a vegetarian. I'm at the point where just looking at meat makes me want to throw up. I'll grill some chicken and stare at it wondering how the hell am i going to eat this. anyone else have this problem?

    First day of liquid diet

I expected to feel like I was starving but after drinking the Protein shakes, I really didn't want to eat..even when I was offered delicious food. Nobody can throw down on some boneless chicken breasts like me but when I tried to eat it, I felt nauseous like someone offered me a dead mouse. I find this strange but who knows, maybe I can manage to get through the next 3 weeks without cheating. anyone else felt like this? also, how was the first day of your diet?

  7. I was sleeved on 01/13/14 in brooklyn. I have had the easiest time adjusting to my sleeve that it scares me a little. no gas pains, I can get a lot of Water in and my incisions barely hurt. anyone else had a smooth transition into their sleeve?

8 days out pain when walking

I was sleeved the same day, I had the similar kind of pain. I then bought a waist support belt, it has been all the difference. I barely have any pain now
  9. i was sleeved on the 13th, Lucky for me, there wasn't much pain.. my only issue is that when I stand up, it feels like my insides are about to fall out. does anyone have any tips for this? I hold my stomach but that's the only thing i can do at this moment. also, when were you able to sleep pn your side? thanks everyone!

    3 week pre op diet

I had it set in my mind that I would do a two week diet but my doctor's office called and told me it would be a 3 week diet. I think i'm going to die, ok..i'm being dramatic but I have never heard of a 3 week pre op diet. Have any of you done or heard of that?
  11. i feel oddly calm, I don't think i'll feel its real until they wheel me off. it took 11 months of hard work and staying on top of things. I hope to see you all on the other side. trust your journey =]

    Catheter?

I'm getting sleeved on the 13th of January. My only fear is silly. I don't mind needles and things like that. However, I really don't want to have a catheter put in. I had read through some posts and it seems pretty common. what was your experience?

wrong date of birth = no surgery?

that's crazy! happy it ended well =]
  17. My insurance messed up my birthday. My birthday is january 24th and they put january 29th..I tried to fix it for months and each time they assured me it was taken care of. Now, 3 days before I get sleeved, I got a call from the hospital to inform me that there is an issue with my DOB. They went on to tell me that this might postpone my surgery. so now i'm freaking out because it's friday and my surgery is on monday, there is no way I can correct this in time.
