Abdominal binder

How long have people worn their abd binder?

I was doing ok then at 3 1/2 weeks post op I would get pain on my left side when I went from laying down to sitting up and from sitting to standing so I bought an abdl binder which has really helped

Is it normal to get pain 3 1/2 weeks out

I wore mine for the 1st month. My doc said I could stop wearing it 2 weeks after surgery, but when I returned to work, I kept wearing it just to be safe..

My doctor didn't let me wear a binder, and while I hated him for it at the time, I think it was for the best. It forced me to heal faster, and I was pain-free by 3 weeks (though I hated those first few weeks!).

those of you who wore a binder, did you have laparascopic surgery?

My doctors never even told me about a binder and I had to figure it out myself because of the excruciating pain I've been in at two weeks postop. I sure hope this gets better because it is keeping me from feeling good about anything at all.
