So, my surgeon's office FINALLY received all of my paperwork from my Dr on Friday, and sent it off to my insurance company today!! (finished my six month diet on June 4th). They told me it could take up to 30 days to hear a decision, but I'm really hoping it doesn't take that long!! Fingers crossed for an easy approval!

I'm also waiting for my surgery date now........one minute I'm very happy....the other extremely nervous.....

I was just like you. I finished my supervised diet Friday (6/14) I Didn't trust my GP nurse to fax the paperwork to my surgeon so I did it myself. The surgeon contacted insurance Monday, and I called the insurance today to make sure the paperwork was submitted and I was already approved!

Call the insurance and ask about the status of your paperwork. I did and I was already approved! Apparently most (like mine) mail you a letter in 7-10 business days..ugh

Mine was submitted yesterday, I had to force myself not call today lol I will call tomorrow though, even though I'm sure they won't be able to tell me anything yet.

The crazy thing that my insurance company approved it in two days, but it took them a little over three Weeks to get the approval to my surgeons office! I'm in Tennessee and I have Cigna insurance. Thanks for the love and support! I'm getting really nervous now!
