I have my first appointment tomorrow, actually it's today in about 8 hrs, but I woke up at 1:00am and have not been able to go back to sleep. I'm excited and nervous.

Wow! Good luck on the loss! Is there a particular reason he wants you to lose 70 lbs prior to surgery?

My BMI is higher than recommend and the risks are greater at my weight.

Did they at least give you a diet to follow?

No, but I am doing my doctor supervised diet with my doctor. I'm thinking of joining weight watchers.

I wish you the best of luck!!

I have made a choice and I have joined weight watchers and tomorrow is day one.

If you don't mind me being nosey.... How much is your BMI?

90

Mine is 62 right now. I meet with the Dr on the 15th and not sure if he will want me to lose more weight before surgery.

Good luck!

Well good luck, I doubt he will, even after I lose 70 pounds my BMI will be higher than that.
