size 8's!

  • Popular Post

Woohoo! Gastric sleeve surgery 5-18-12.

From a size 30 jeans and size 30/32 top to a size 8 jeans & size MD top. From 338 to 181.

When I put the 8's on, and they fastened , I seriously sat in the fitting room floor and cried!

The sleeve is the best thing I've ever done for myself. I would beg anyone who is struggling with their weight, do not wait, do it for YOU!

Kristie

Did you have a tummy tuck or any other surgery? ??

I had a corset trunkplasty which is all of the skin from below the breasts down to the hips. It also includes tummy tuck muscle tightening. I had a lot of skin (12 pounds on my belly alone!) Since I've been big for over 15 years. At my highest weight I was 358 pounds.

Congratulations Kristie! You look amazing and that is such an incredible loss in one year!

Are you still healing from plastics?

I can't believe you're already in jeans after your plastics! Great job on your loss. Enjoy this, you worked hard for it!

Thanks for sharing the information on trunkplasty. That sounds like a good option for people who need more then a TT. Overall, it sounds like a really good approach to getting toned in the.core area. Do you mind me asking what the cost is for one of these?

You look great!! Congrats

Thank you! Yes I am still healing. If I had to guess I'm holding 3-4 pounds of swelling still.

I agree. The TT was just not going to get it for me. I don't mind sharing at all. I had my surgery in Lexington, KY for $8600. That included facility charge, surgeon & anesthesiologist. I planned ahead and saved my taxes for 2 years to be able to afford it, otherwise I would never have had the funds (or the credit!).

Such an inspiration! Sooo awesome! I'm still in the way early part- have my first meeting this Friday. I can't wait to start my new life. :)

That is great! Congratulations! You are officially at my goal size. I hope I get there!

Wow is all I can say! Congratulations.

Thanks y'all. I think we can all get here. I have struggled & stalled multiple times and I made it. It is strange tho, I never had a goal size. Only a goal weight (160). I probably would be happier now if I'd have picked the size first. Lol.

How pad has the recovery from your plastics been?

How pad has the recovery from your plastics been?

It's been pretty bad. I had 2 c sections & I would say the pain was 10 times worse. But I stopped the pain meds a week after surgery. I was feeling a lot better but then I seem to have had a minor setback. Not feeling as good as I was but I've had a complication with one of my incisions. The skin is dying & now it's infected. I'm sure it will get better but I think that's why I am feeling run down.
