i need pepto!

Hey guys I need some advice. I just got home from the hospital last night and I have got the absolute worst case of heartburn ever. I had it all throughout my pregnancy and this heartburn doesn't even compare to that. This is awful and usually I would take some Pepto bismol but not sure about now. Anyone have good advice? Thanks

I bought a chewable acid reducer from Walmart that my doctor approved and it worked great. I slept with my head elevated too and that seemed to help. I also noticed when I wasn't drinking enough my heartburn was worse. I know this does not answer your pepto questions. :( sorry! I hope you can get some relief!

I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to use pepto --- prilosec otc is given to some people or a prescription strength PPI (proton pump inhibitor) -- keeps the stomach from making too much acid

My surgeon recommended I take Pepto after surgery for the nausea and upset tummy. It helped a lot.
