My nutrionalist suggested celebrates multi-Vitamin, but I gag, get real flushed, and feel like I'm going to throw up for about 15 minutes after taking it. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good bariatric Multivitamin?

Ps. It's a chewable so I'm not sick by the size of the pill.

I had never heard that before about adults needing less than kids...so thought I'd look it up...according to the government's National Institute of Health that publishes the Recommended Dietary Allowance and issues fact sheets for health professionals and the public on Vitamins and supplements' date=' adults need more than kids of almost everything (Vitamin A, B6, B12, C, D, folate and Iron are the ones I looked at)...calcium was the one that I noted where adults 19-50 need less than teens and seniors.

That's what we tell our patients as well. But as I said each doc/nut is different. I will keep taking the adult or bariatric vitamins and the Lil extra they provide. Can't hurt....I will need all the help I can get on this journey....

Kcolli28 bariatric advantage was the other company if you email them they will send you out samples also. They will return your email asking you to call them. When you call them they will your info and send you out samples. You get them within a few days. Awesome to just try out to see if you'd like before you buy.

Thanks everyone for so many options, because all doctors are different ill probably look into the ones especially for bariatric patients to be safe.

Just to add my 2 cents in... My Dr puts us on centrum silver chewable. They take a bit to get use to but over all not too bad

I started with the Bariatric Advantage but they made me sick. Ive been taking Centrum Flavor Bursts multiviamin and mineral and you can take them with or without food.

My surgeon reccomends Trader Joe's High Potency chewable multi.

It has at least twice the recommended dose for almost all the Vitamins, and I think it's one of the B-vitamins that does it. Perhaps yours are a little too potent as well.

I'm a little annoyed, because they were EXPENSIVE.

I take one alive chewable multivitamin in the morning and in the evening I take a tblsp of liquid centrum with my liquid calcium / vitamin d.

I tried a lot of chewables with lots of different flavors they all tasted disgusting to me. I tried gummies as well they tasted terrible as well. I they went to regular vitamins and those worked well for me. All of my levels from my labs are always normal. You can get a lot of your vitamins from the foods that you eat when you get to that stage. I bought multivitamins and b-12 from target and those have worked well for me and I have bought Citrical Calcium Citrate in a pill form and it goes down pretty well.
