Hi- was banded on Dec 12-had post-op today-lost 11 pounds...still nervous about what to eat..

Congrats on your lapband...as with anything getting used to your lapband is a learning process...but I am sure you'll do fine! There is plenty of support and eating ideas to be found on lapband talk...so you have come to the right place. We look forward to hearing of your progress.

All the way from Tasmania! How nice of you to reply-I am doing well since my 12/12 surgery. On my post-op I lost 11 lbs-have my first fill on Jan. 25. Still not sure about portions and I am still on thick fluids. I am looking forward to learning lots on this site. Blessings from San Diego!! Monica

Welcome Monica! This site is a great resource for information and support. As for portion size on thick liquids...I didn't eat a specific amount on liquids, just ate until i was full. But realizing when you're "full" is a learning process...and I'm still learning! Good luck on your journey.

Welcome to the lapband forum. Just remember to follow your doctor recommended post op diet. Lots of soups. Good luck.
