Phase 3 (Pureed stage) grocery list help!

I need to go buy food but I'm unsure as to what things I can eat. What did you guys buy or are buying during this phase? Can I have hummus? How do you prepare your chicken? Recipes? Tips!? Anything goes!! God bless and thanks in advance! Is tuna a no go?

Definitely yes to hummus!

My doctor said purée is anything that has the consistency of dip. So purée chicken salad with mayo, or chicken with broth, beef with beef broth, veggies with broth, egg and mayo, cream soups blended and strained, yogurt, purée cottage cheese..

Casseroled chicken and veg in gravy in oven to keep it moist - then blended.

Cooked smoked fish in milk - then blended

Tuna with a squirt of low fat mayo - then blended

Some people can cook very lean meat then blend with gravy to get a purée but my sleeve was less keen on this....

Can you see the pattern :-)))) ? Use milk, gravy etc to purée your Protein. You are aiming for baby food/yogurt consistency but try to make sure you have some flavour or you will be bored to death.... You can also purée fruit if you want a little something sweet.

Even when eating puree, still chew, chew, chew! Good luck!
