Hi has anyone switched jobs while in the process of barbaric surgery? I've been going to my 6 month weight management meetings and I still have cardio , pulmonary , Phyc and 2 meetings to go through in order to have surgery. I'm switching jobs soon and might have to apply for Medicaid . Anyone have any advice on what I should do?

I would try to get all the other stuff done under the current insurance.

Depending on where you are medicaid may take a long time to approve you IF they approve you. The new job...are they offering insurance?...you probably don't want to ask if they cover WLS Before starting the job (maybe a lil awkward).

Do you know if you'll qualify for medicaid for sure?

Can you switch jobs after the surgery? That's what I plan on doing....

I dont think you will lose your insurance unless you need to recertify again. You only recertify once a year.
