NOW it starts to hit

I am leaving TONIGHT. So the panic is setting in. Packing bags, and then re-packing. I am only taking 1 carry-on (and I had to pay $25 on Spirit to do that), so I need to pack essentials and buy any forgotten socks or toothpaste etc in Mexicali. Most important of course is passports, wallet with my driver's license and ONE credit card. Also a certain amount of CA$H. Plus camera, phone (with chargers) etc. You know how crazy it is. You think you have EVERYTHING under control, but it is still a mind numbing process. For any other of Dr ACEVES patients who are scheduled at the end of May ? I look forward to meeting you, and walking the halls with. I hear there is a casino across the street from the hospital ?? Maybe we can shuffle across and play the slots ?

Best of luck. The casino is near the hotel.

How did everything go? I'm looking forward to hearing updates! I hope everything went well.

Hi everyone from hotel lucerna. This is a beautiful hotel. Everyone has been very friendly and helpful. The pre op tests went smooth but tiring after a long day of flying with little sleep. The team has it down to a science. I did see r this afternoon (although I was half asleep ha) and he was up walking around after surgery and was in good spirits. I must admit I'm still nervous but I know I'm in good hands. Thank you to the brave people who have gone before... I know I'm in good hands and thank you for sharing your experiences. Special thanks to Amanda... I was feeling overwhelmed at the hospital and remember thinking she did this.. I got this :) ill post more detail later. I did meet two wonderful ladies who will also be having surgery in am too. Hopefully things go smooth

I hope to hear soon about your recovery and overall experience. Dr. Aceves and staff are a great team.

So how are the latest Aceves Sleevers doing?

I'm doing great. Still working on getting enough protein but I have a good amount of energy and feel good. I don't have to take pain meds anymore and feel pretty normal. Just a little bit of stomach pain where drain was. Surgery was wed!! Hope everyone else is doing well too!!
