  1. Please take care of yourself! I learned this lesson the very hard way and ended up in the hospital for eleven days with mdd with psychosis. I let my depression get that out of control. Nami is a good support group if you can talk to your mom about it. Your in my thoughts.. Please take care!
  2. I started drinking diet ice tea when I get the pop craving.
  3. Have you gone to the doctor? I have had my history of thyroid problems and that can make it very difficult to lose weight. Just a suggestion... I hope you find something soon that helps!!
  4. I feel the same. I've been grabbing protein shakes and yogurt mostly because it is easy and I know it will sit fine in my stomach. I really need to work on a meal plan...
  5. I'm not as far out, but could you substitute a meal or two with protein shakes? When I had a small stall it worked for me....
  6. Thanks ladies. I'm always worried I'm going to do damage! I hate being a 'worrier'
  7. Long shot but I am in my 7th week post op and I am getting vein ablation tomorrow and my vein dr prescribed celebrex 200mg tablets. Per vein dr I just took one and then realized it was a NSAID. Help! Am I doing damage to my stomach? What damage can I do taking a NSAID? Ill talk to vein dr in the am but anyone have any advise now? Ok I'm looking for reassurance... Ugh.
  8. I started this a size 22 however I was mostly a size 14/16 my entire life so I always see myself as a 14/16. The crazy part was after my surgery I took "before" pics and had no idea I was as big as I was. I just want to be healthy but of course a size 12 would be great too. I can't envision myself any smaller even though my goal weight is 140. This has already been an interesting process....
  9. I feel the same. I just started my fifth week and I'm also feeling down. I didn't realize how much I used food for enjoyment out of life. Now I just need to change my focus. I hope you feel better soon. Our hormones are probably adjusting too but don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it.
  10. Just wanted to add my 2 cents if you are having trouble sleeping. I have a rx for ambien which didn't work earlier in the week (couldn't fall asleep). I bought 10mg of liquid melatonin at vitamin shop last night and although I woke up a few times, I was able to make it through the night. Ya!
  11. I'm a month out and just walked a 5k. I'm already amazed at how far I have come. Six weeks ago I would have never had the courage to get out there. Now I do... Ya NSV.
  12. When my weight does that, I usually drop 3+ pounds eventually overnight. Hang in there!
  13. I shop at bjs but they have 2oz packages of wholly guacamole. I use part of that with my eggs and add low fat mozzarella cheese. My fav meal so far.
  14. I do. I am only a month post op so I'm not sure about hair loss... I have to crush them and add yogurt to take them. They are too hard on my stomach if I don't.
  15. 5/29 here. SW 263 Surgery 255 Current 237- I have been eating a lot of Greek yogurt- plain with sugar free davinci syrup, guacamole, scrambled eggs with cheese, and mini babybell cheese, skim milk, and protein shakes. I have had pureed chilli, meatballs, meatloaf, chicken with yogurt with salsa, mushed banana with creamy peanut butter. I hate purée and soft stage! Don't judge but I did have some no sugar ice cream. Smh. My sleeve has tolerated everything but I don't really get hungry. I would be content with protein shakes all day. I'm looking forward to solids.
  16. Yes. I was dx with Graves' disease. Had radioactive iodine treatment in March. Now on 125mg of levothyroxine. I hope I can get all of my weight off. I had vsg 5/29/13- down 26 with pre-op.
  17. Thank you for sharing your story! Your hard work is paying off and I know you will be successful with your determination
  18. Try to get your liquids in and protein in. If its getting worse, I would call your doctor.. Hope you feel better soon!
  19. Also really tired this week. I had more energy weeks 1 and 2. Sounds like its normal.
  20. No problem ladies thanks for the suggestions!
  21. Thanks for everyone's suggestions!
  22. Someone recommended the soda stream flavors. You just get the flavors and mix with water and you won't have any carbonation. I'm going to try it. They have diet caffeine free.
  23. Anyone have a treadmill they recommend? Need some ideas to get started.
  24. So happy for you. I am looking forward to hearing about your success!
