Tonight my son graduated from high school. What a bitter sweet feeling for a proud mom that isn't quite ready for him to leave. The reason I post this is that in the past I probably would have stuffed myself with food to dull the pain. Since being sleeved I choose to fully embrace my emotions and feelings but tonight it seems especially difficult for me. Sometimes I wish I could turn off the pain, but I'm so grateful I no longer dull myself with food.

Congrats on your son's graduation. I'm sure you feel very proud. Funny, my age never bothered me, it was our boys miletsones that always made me feel my age. Have watched 2 high school, 2 college, 1 law school and 1 wedding. They will always be my baby boys. :-)

Big congrats on your accomplishment as well. I bet it feels so very good to Celebrate in your new way. I look forward that. 11 weeks out now and just getting the hang of this new life. So far, its good, very good indeed.

Congratulations on both your son and your awareness!

My son is graduating from college today and yes, it's very emotional. Lots of the family will be gathering and having food together is part of the deal.

I was sleeved a little over eight weeks ago and although I LOVE my new tiny appetite, I am still adjusting to this new way of coping and celebrating.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
