  1. Please let me know how much you paid for your MMO in Tijuana and which doctor you used. Are you happy with the results? I am looking to schedule a MMO and really value your input. Cost is a big issue right now so honest feedback would be really appreciated! Also, I am wanting information/prices for the "gummy" implants. Thank you so much for your help!

    Excerise and feeling weak/exhausted.

I found out I was low on iron, which affected my energy level big time. I didn't even realize I was so low until I had blood work done at work. It would be worth looking into if you haven't already figured out what was going on. I had no idea it was my iron. I just figured I was burning the candle at both ends....
  3. There is a blood drive today at the local school. I keep getting phone calls to donate because of my O- blood type. I am 5 1/2 months out from surgery and feel great. I recall reading that VSG'ers shouldn't donate blood. Is this true? Are there any negatives to me doing this? If so, what are they? Any advice would be appreciated!
  4. My husband and I both had sleeve surgery in March. Both of us are experiencing terrible pain in our left side (stomach area) and in the left shoulder/collarbone area. The pain has got to be related to gas or something we have eaten. We just aren't sure if it is normal to be experiencing this at five months out? Please provide feedback if this is something you have experienced and if you have solutions for what has helped you alleviate and/or avoid having this terrible pain. We are begging for help! Thank you in advance.
  5. We are thinking our symptoms could be related to lettuce wraps we had on Sunday. The DH has only had the terrible pain (that comes and goes) but that got a lot worse AFTER he ran three miles this evening. My pain hit me at the end of the day today but I had other issues yesterday (diarrhea). This is scary to us because we haven't had these bad of pains since about two months out. Thank you for your responses to our strange situation!

    march sleevers?

Surgery date 3/22/13 HW-244 SW-234 CW-184 Height-5'7" Very happy with the results! (Admittedly, I wish I was losing faster though.)
  7. Hello! I was sleeved in Tijana by dr. Fernando Garcia on march, 22. I have currently lost 36 pounds and weigh 198 pounds. My weight loss has been steady every week. My question to those of that have gone through this involves the timeline. I would like to schedule a MM for the Christmas holidays this year (I'm an educator that gets two weeks off during this time). So, will I have time for a good recovery before I return to work? If I haven't reached my goal of 150 by then will the MM be a bad idea? I would like to hear any advice from those that have planned ahead of time (financial planning) and if it was a good idea. I'm also leaning towards getting this done in Tijauna due to costs. Hoping an excellent surgeon can be recommended? Thanks so much for any advice you can give me!

    One Month, Two Days

Thanks for your response! Only four days in Mexico? Did you have to have any follow up care once you returned to the states? Like drains? Stitches? Etc. Also, how was the flight back? Painful? I am just so impressed by your results and also wanting to have a quick turnaround time in Mexico!

    One Month, Two Days

You really look great. Thanks for posting all of your information. I'm curious about your recovery. How long we're you in Mexico? How long did you have to take off of work once you returned? Thanks for sharing!
  10. Thank you all for the advice! mybabysansan who was you TJ doctor and what was your cost? Also, how long did you have to stay in TJ? (If you don't mind me asking...)
  11. Mommy Makeover is a breast lift and tummy tuck at the same time. Six kids later and having been obese means I will need one!
  12. Tonight my son graduated from high school. What a bitter sweet feeling for a proud mom that isn't quite ready for him to leave. The reason I post this is that in the past I probably would have stuffed myself with food to dull the pain. Since being sleeved I choose to fully embrace my emotions and feelings but tonight it seems especially difficult for me. Sometimes I wish I could turn off the pain, but I'm so grateful I no longer dull myself with food.
