Officially Sleeved

Hi Everyone!

Today is my 1st day post op & I am officially sleeved! My surgeon said that everything went well during surgery...he actually used the word "perfect."

I passed my barium test, no leakages or blockages however my stomach is inflamed so until the inflammation subsides, he sent me home on liquids. My follow up post op appointment is on 5/29/13.

I welcome any tips, advice, suggestions from all of you wonderful individuals!

Thank you!

My doc emphasized that liquids are far more important than protein in the beginning. Focus primarily on staying hydrated and sip constantly.

I'm 6 days sleeved and finding it very difficult to consume 60-80 g of protein a day

  • Keep hydrated! I had to get mine at first through ice chips and popsicles. You can get a liquid Whey protein and mix with water, freeze and make ice chips, this way you get your protein and liquid in.
