Ever Going to Lose Again?

I have not lost any weight since February. I am eating around 1000 calories a day. I am walking, doing squats and pushups. I take cinnamon tablets. I just cannot get the weight to come off now and I am 40 lbs away from my goal. I have tried increasing my calories, decreasing my calories..upping the water. Does anyone have any tips, clues?? Could this be a thyroid problem? HELP!

How far post op are you?

Many folks report weeks and months of stalls and just like magic start to lose again. Is your body changing at all? Are you taking measurements? Still wearing the exact same clothing size since February?

Have you tried mixing up your workout routine? Maybe it's time to try something different... biking, zumba, swimming, yoga, a fitness dvd. Sometimes just shaking things up will shake you out of a stall.

(I don't think you are stuck here forever though ;) ) Just keep going!!

Yes, yes, I have just come off a four month stall. FOUR MONTHS! Now I am losing again. Went down two lbs overnight. No explanation. Can't think of anything I've done differently. Just be patient, your body is fighting to stay the same weight it's always been. It'll come off eventually

In my opinion, if you are following your plan, eating right, exercising, there is nothing more to be done. I don't beleive we can do anything to impact it.

We all know we over ate, and that's how we got overweight enough to need surgery, but I think there's more to it than that. And whatever that something is, it also impacts how we lose weight. Some of us lose slower, some of us have to eat less, and some of us have exercise harder, and some of us just have long stalls. No rhyme or reason, it just is. I let go of a lot of stress when I can remember that.
