Surgery first thing in the morning I'm now definitely nervous!!! The hardest part is being in the hospital away from my kids especially my 18 month old. I hope it goes by fast.

I will and thank you. I'm so glad I joined this forum. It feels good to know other people know what I'm going to be going through. Especially where I love idk anyone else that has the sleeve. There was two people in my class that want to get it but I'm ahead of them they needed to get approved first.

Good Luck!!!! I wish you the best!!!! Please post you experiences...I'm not sleeving for another 4-5 weeks and I would love to hear how you're doing!

I hope everything goes good and that you have a good recovery as well. I have the same concerns living my 18 month daughter my husband insist to take her with us to the hospital, but I just think is a bad idea. Well I will convince him that is better that she stays a home with my mom. Good luck keep us posted I will be on the same position on monday.

You need to make yourself walk you will feel so much better getting the gas out and sitting up. I feel better after I walk. The beds suck so walking helps my back too. Today I was able to eat jello and soup broth and for dinner I had cream broth. Yesterday I was just on water!! I did get a protein shake for dinner but didn't drink that much of it as I got full from the soup. It's better to eat slow too.

Happy that everything went well and your feeling good.Cong

Where i did my sleeve the surgon keep the patient 48hours with out eating or even drinking Water...i lived on the IV....then perform the leakage test after that thy allow the liquid diet....

I had my sleeve done on May 1st. I ate (3) 1/4 cups of Jello yesterday and a 1/4 of oatmeal this morning. I am walking and feeling rather good. I have NO appetite at all. I'm not sure how long that will last. So far, my only negative is that it burns when food or drink actually goes into my stomach.

I am being released today. I will stay with a friend for a few days and then home. So far, so good!!!????
