  1. I finally hit it. I was sleeved on 5/3. At about 5 weeks, I hit a two week stall. I tried eating more, eating less, exercising more, and even exercising differently. I have no idea what worked but one day the scale started to move again. I hope it keeps moving!
  2. Surgery 5/3 HW 242 Preop 233 (4 days) SW 225 CW 202 I have been in a stall the last two weeks but I am losing inches
  3. My BMI was close to 40 and I gained about 6 lbs at the hospital which I lost plus nine more pounds in the first two weeks. This seems to less than some others. I lost 8 lbs on the preop diet the week before surgery so I think all my water weight was gone. I hope this helps!
  4. I am 11 days out and doing well. Not losing much which is upsetting. I am only down 4 lbs. since surgery despite following all instructions. I was really swollen and still have some pain when I move around. I am on pureed foods now. I have been walking every day. I have seen posts by others that lost as much as 20 lbs the first week. I did lose some in the preop diet (four days) and I also lost all the weight I gained after surgery from the saline drip, etc. I am wondering if I am eating too much (I doubt it) or too little that the scale is not moving. Any thoughts?
  5. I bought the Atkins shakes that are ready to drink. They taste pretty good. I tried to add unflavored protien to chicken broth but it didn't work out. I think I added too much and then it got too hot and curdled. I think I should have added it after I heated the broth, not before. I am still really swollen and can't even fit into my fat jeans. I was down two pounds yesterday. Today is day 7. One day at time...
  6. I am day 5 too. I still pretty swollen and sore but it gets better every day. I was able to get almost 50g of protein today and more fluids than each previous day. I had a lot of air coming up right after surgery and couldn't get my drinks in. I have walked around the block a few times. I felt really bad this morning so I drank some protien and then I felt better. I haven't lost anything since the day of surgery but I did go up after surgery and I have lost all of that weight as of this morning. We can do this!
  7. I am sleeved! I am still in hospital. I have walking and following instructions. Pain is too bad, I have not even taken all the pain meds. I hate the way they make me feel. Just ice chips so far. I should be getting broth and crystal light today. I am hoping to be releaed this afternoon.
  8. I go bright and early tomorrow. 6:45 AM. I will remember to walk. Any other advice?
  9. May 3rd for me too, I am also on the liquid diet. Feeling a little lightheaded today. I am excited and scared at the same time. I so ready to lose this weight! Good luck to you both!
  10. I started the preop diet today too. I only have to do it for four days. My surgery is Friday. My tummy is grumbling and I too am going to bed early. We can do this!
