Nervous about the EGD!

I am getting the egd procedure done tomorrow and I'm super nervous for some reason :/ can anyone tell me what it was like, how long it took, if you were completely sedated, etc?

Melissa, it's no big deal! You are put out, and then you wake up and go. You won't remember any of it. My doctor is in the city, so after my appointment my friends and I went to ihop and then shopped

  • My egd went perfectly! Definitely nothing to be worried about. I was totally knocked out. The worst part was them sticking me for the iv! Lol

Maybe your dr is not doing one. My dr does them on everyone. My friend's dr told her he only does them on people having heart burn and other gi problems....good luck!!! I wish I had my date and pre surgery diet going already!

When do they do that? I have pre op tomorrow at hospital

If you haven't heard anything about it yet then your dr probably doesn't require one!

Just had mine 2 days ago piece of cake
