I am beginning my journey!

I just had my consult with my surgeon and I've been given a surgery date of Feb.11. I'm so nervous and scared and I am trying to get as much information as possible. My worst fear is returning back to my old eating habits. I know this isn't a magic cure for weight loss and I hope I have the strength within to change my lifestyle and make this work! Looking forward to meeting you all.:o

Hi Becca,

You have plenty of time to get in so much information. I read posts at least an hour a day. Many days more than that. I have learned so much. Luckily I started on here about a month before my surgery. I felt very knowledged by then.

Good luck to you in your journey.

Welcome becca77

We have all been there the nervousness...wondering if you are going to be able to keep up with the rules etc etc. The trick is one day at a time...if you make mistakes...tomorro IS another day. You have got the right attitude though. You go girl! this is the beginning of the rest of your life...

congrats for getting to this point and good luck

Thank you so much for all your support, I can see that this website will be one of the keys to my success, good luck to you all!

Hi Becca, welcome to lapband forum. There is a ton of information on this site so have fun surfing. You will do great in surgery. Yes, the old food habits may be an issue. But if you eat small quantities and make sure you get your protein in you shouldn't have any problem losing weight. Good luck.
