Read as much as you can...the good and the bad. It's life changing in almost every possible way--- but for me it's all been for the better. I thought I was totally ready for the surgery because I read everything I could find about it-- but it's all sooo much more "mental/psychological" than I ever expected. Best wishes on your journey ;)

My advice would be 2 make sure u form great support circles. I had my surgery April 9th and I tell u u will be overwhelmed with information between now and May 17th. The closer u get 2 surgery ur nerves will start to get the best of u. Having someone 2 talk 2 that knows what u r going thru will be ur best tool for being successful.

Good luck.

You'll have some rough days but it gets better.. Good luck :-)
