I new here :)

hello everyone my name is nono and i am new to this site. I am 21 years old and now weighing the highest i have ever weighed which is at 320 pounds and I am 5'9". I have been considering bariatric surgery for a couple of year now and then went to a seminar in november at brigham and women's hospital. I thought to myself i am definitely doing this. Now I have my date schedule and it finally became all too real for me. I will be getting the sleeve done one May 9th, 2013 and I am excited and scared at the same time. I told my self 2013 is the last year for me to be overweight (which i say every year) but this year is different and I just can't wait for my life to change. I hope to chat and get to know a few people on here and hopefully get more tips and advice from people who have been through this as well as in the same spot as I am.

Welcome Nono! I'm proud of you for taking charge of your health at 21! My highest weight was also 320, and if I would have gone ahead and had bariatric surgery, I wouldn't have waisted so much of my 20's missing out on stuff.

You only have a few weeks girl! Get excited, and be sure to keep us posted. (My surgery date is not until June).

Welcome!

I was sleeved on 4/20 and was 6 lbs heavier then you at my peak (before the pre-op diet) Today I am down 40 lbs already! It is the best choice I have made next to asking my wife to marry me.

It has it's moments of struggle just like anything else, but it is a very effective tool to help us get healthy and happy again :)

Welcome!!!

:) :) :)

yea i guess i am lucky i actually was suppose to do on it on may 1st but i couldn't because of classes so they had another patient move their date to may 1st and i got may 9th. or i would have to wait till june. i want it done ASAP lol

Good luck it's a life changer I was sleeved on the 20th of march and I am very happy with my choice so far. The swelling went in my angles my me stopped hurting along with my ankles and hell it's only 40 lbs still got 80 to go. Way to take charge of your life. Good luck

Welcome!! :) Congratulations on joining us on the journey to reclaim our lives and our happiness! I can't wait to hear how things are going with you. Keep us posted! Good luck!
