Liquid diet post op phase

I wanted to know if we are allowed surface free sherbet with a little bit of Oj. My mouth is so dry and my throat is killing me. Can anyone help solve my mystery? Thanks a bunch. Kc

I was told no to sherbet/ice cream and orange/pineapple juices during liquid phase post-op. The orange just has too much acid and pulp that makes it not qualify as a clear liquid. Try Sugar Free Popsi

I'm going assume you mean sugar free sherbet?

I don't think it's usually one of the recommend foods for post op the orange juice too is probably not a good thing also because of the high acid content.

A lot of people find relief from sugar free Popsicles :)

I'm not trying OJ because I'm scared of the intense heartburn! Acid increases after this surgery, so I was told, so be careful!

Try Sugar Free Popsicles and Sugar Free Snowballs. My NUT also advised me that you can advance to Sugar Free Yogurt and Sugar Free Fudgesicles during Full Liquid Phase.
