Help

Guys I am realizing that I have developed a new habbits of chewing up certain food just to taste and spitting it out. I'll never swallow and I ve never been obsessed with food. But this is definitley a problem. I've been very succesful but I can't seem to stop this new wired habbits..? Thoughts

How far out are you? What kinds of foods are you doing this with? While it may be a stretch, could it be a transfer addiction? Or are you subconsciously telling yourself since you will never eat normal again, this is the only way to quiet the cravings? Because in time you will eat normal. It will be a new normal.

Because you can't have something right out of surgery, doesn't mean you can never enjoy it again.

Can you try to focus on what your current requirements are so maybe you will be distracted from bad foods? That way you can start retraining your brain for the good food and when you are far enough out, you can have occasional treats.

Personally speaking---I get it... As weird as it is- did it with grapefruit yesterday lol

Professionally speaking-- it's concerning as this is new and a behavior that can be often displayed in the start or really into diff eating disorders-- if u can stop and not do it-- no prob but if its a compulsion and always on your mind if seek out a psychologist or counselor that is specialized w eating disorders

I left a message for one as well!

I have been trying to stop. Ill try harder this week or I will log every time I have the urge.. its usually when I am providing food for others. I have never been addicted to anything don't drink don't smoke. i was not a horrible eater, but sometimes comfort eat. i had an uncontrolled thyroid issue for years. I do have terrible anxiety.
