Oh! The acid!

Dr. Put me on 60mg dexilant for a ppi today and it isn't helping. Does it take a while to kick in? Nothing wants to stay down or when it does it hurts and I feel like I'm going to vomit.

I'm going back to Clear Liquids for a day or 3 to see if that helps.

Hi Amy,

Well no on the apple! :P it might take a day or two to kick in but if it doesn't work after a while (a week or so) you might have to try an other ppi...

You might want to get ahold of your pcp and have him/her get you a prescription for some stronger. My surgeon said I would probably have to use them for at least 6 months.
