So you are back to work already? I'm scheduled for April 30 and getting scared really need to be back in work but took 10 days. Do you feel different?

I am also scheduled for the 30th!

Excited & scared all at the same time, I know it'll be worth it in the end :)

Mtpatter

I also took 10 days

I had a friend who took 7 buy she ended up having to go in for IV fluids and take an additional 4 days off

My dr wrote me off for 4 weeks! I work in heathcare and my job can require heavy lifting, pushing, etc.

I too am in healthcare, they wrote for me to be off for 6weeks but I told them I wanted to go back after 2 weeks.

I don't have a lot of lifting so I should be good to go as long as everything goes as planned

Yess I just had mine 4/22/2013 sitting in the hospital as I type right now!

I'm up right now too but my surgery is tomorrow. So many things going through my head. I've had surgeries before but somehow this feels different... I don't even know how to describe how I feel...

I definitely understand its a new beginning, its the unknown make sure you take your time dont rush it relax ask questions if something dont feel right let your nurse/doc know, my 1st night I threw up blood b/c the pain med they prescribed me "morphine" was to strong so it made me nauseous so they took me off that immediately and prescribed me liquid lortab which is nasty but if u mix with crystal light in your beverage taste great and im feeling much better!

Thanks. 8hrs to go...

I had mine on April 12th. Doing great so far, as of now I'm walking around 2 miles a day. Only problem in having is that I'm still on the clear liquid diet and feel well most of the time. I go on soft food after I go for my two week check up on Friday. Then I'm sure my energy Lvl will go back up and I can go back to walking 8 miles a day and working out without feeling like I am completely drained.
