Lactose Intolerant..Anyone?

I am about a week shy of my one year surgery date. At about 7 months out I developed an intolerance to lactose. My surgeon said it is common for some people to develop it. I can't even drink the lactose brand milk for some reason, so i Silk aka soy milk which is pretty good Anyone else have this happen to them??

Yep. I thought it was just in my head but I can't tolerate any kind of milk product

At my nutrition class today, my NUT said it was very common to develop a lactose intolerance after surgery. She recommend Mootopia mil bc it had 12 grams of protein and it was lactose free.

it is VERY common to become lactose intolerant post-op

I didnt do milk before surgery... since surgery Ive used coconut milk exclusively... ( I tried almond milk but it was too thick for my liking)
