How long to space out Calcium supplements?

How long should I space out my Calcium supplements. I am currently taking upcal D 500mg packets. I take one in my pre-workout shake and another when I get home in my post workout shake... Time between shakes is about 1:15-1:45min. I easily get my remaining calcium intake throughout the day by eating regular foods.

Is it bad that I take them so close together. How far should I space them out?

You should have at least a few hours between. I take my first dose around 9 am and the other dose around 4 pm.

My doc said for me to take two 500mg a day. One in the morning and one after work. Just don't take them within an hour of any iron supplements. Calcium can block iron absorption.

I take 6 250 mg chews a day around 3 daily meals @ 6:00am, 12pm and 6pm. It has been working out pretty well since surgery. I try and wait 30-45 minutes in between eating protein and taking the chews. They are also yummy and my little treat during the day.
