1. You should have at least a few hours between. I take my first dose around 9 am and the other dose around 4 pm.

Losing Slow At Very Beginning?

Add me to the slow losers list, surgey date November 19th, down 32 since then. Ship I guess I'm averaging 10 pounds a month, but I lost a lot the first month, so the past 2 months I think I lost about 5-7 pounds per month. I'm hoping that even though I'm a slow loser it continues at this pace, I don't think I could take it if it slowed any more!
3. It's not my time of month, let me just get that out before you ask. I was losing a pound a day for 3 days. Then this morning I had gained them all back. WTH!?!

gained weight

Thanks for all the support! I know that I need to stay away from the scale but especially when I've gained weight, I'll weigh myself every day waiting for those pounds to go away. I will the my hardest to not weigh myself and to let go. I think my main issue is that I still believe that the sleeve won't work for me like everything else and that I'm going to fail, so me weighing myself everyday is my way of "keeping tabs" on myself. I am going out of town for a few days next week, so that will give me a break as well. Thanks for all the replys, this site has given me so many answers and support throughout my journey!

gained weight

I am about 11 weeks out.
6. I haven't weighed myself in a week and when I stepped on the scale this morning I dropped a whopping 1 pound! Wow! My surgery was November 19th, and I'm only down 26 pounds I feel like I'll probably be a slow loser, but I can't help getting frustrated. Anyone else out there lose slow at first and then speed up?

frustrated

My starting weight was 268 so I have about 130 to lose . My surgeon wants me to be losing 20 a month, I'm not even close to that.

artificial sweetener?

I was reading an article online the other day about weight loss and the reasons the weight isn't coming off as quickly as it should. They mentioned artificial sweetener raising your insulin which makes your body hold onto fat. Anyone know if this is true? Any input?
9. I am 8 weeks out, down 25 pounds. My surgeon is disappointed with my weight loss, he thinks I should be losing 20 pounds a month. I'm thinking I'm just a slow loser. My day of surgery weight was 268 and I'm not down to 243. The good part is that I've lost quite a few inches. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'm slow in the beginning but that I'll speed up soon.
10. I'm pretty sure my nutritionist told me that I could start taking regular sized pills at 4 weeks. Does anyone else know the answer to this? I have Calcium citrate pills that I would love to take instead of the gross chewable tablets, ugh! Thanks!
11. So I'm about 6 weeks since surgery, and I'm sick hungry all the time! When will the evil gremlin go away? I thought that getting the surgery would help me with my hunger but so far it hasn't changed. Any words of advice or experience?

constipation

Yes, I let them sit in my protein shake overnight that's why I was confused why I was getting dehydrated. Is it maybe because I chew them, instead of just swallowing them?

constipation

I've been eating prunes. I eat about 3 every day, and I've been good to go ever since. I tried chia seeds, but they dehydrated me really badly even though I drank extra water.

What a change!

Wow! You're an inspiration! I'm at 4 weeks and am down 16 pounds. Although I've lost nothing the past 2 weeks!

Ne Pennsylvania Buddies?

I'm from the berks county area. I had my surgery at the reading hospital on November 20th.
16. I had my surgery in reading, pa on November 20th. Where are you getting your surgery done?
17. I am 4 weeks and have been in a stall for over 2 weeks. I'm just wondering how long stalls typically last. I just jeep hoping that today will be the day that it finally breaks. So frustrating!
18. Just wanted to give an update. My surgery was on nov. 20th. They kept me an extra night because i had really bad gas pain and wouldn't let me have any fluids until the pain subsided. I went home on thanksgiving morning. Wow, what a weird thanksgiving that was for me and my family My weight loss was going great, about a pound a day for about 10 days, then suddenly it stopped. For about the next 2 weeks the scale didn't move. It actually went up a pound. I started obsessing and would weigh myself multiple times a day. I had a break down yesterday and cried to my fiancé. I told him to hide the scale from me and to only let me weigh myself once a week. I am trying to now focus on how I feel, how my clothes fit, and making sure I'm following my nutrition plan. I've also realized that this new life is more mental than not. Telling myself that I'm not hungry, making sure I don't eat things I'm not supposed to, knowing that if I have. "one more bite" that I'll feel like crap for a while. Anyone else have any struggles/ suggestions/ tips for people who were recently sleeved? Also, I know that stall are all part of the "journey" but what doesn't make sense to me is how I'm only taking in 600 calories a day and not losing any weight, where is my body getting the calories to function? Anyway, there's my rant. Any advice is always appreciated, love hearing from you!!!
19. I am getting between 50 and 70 grams of protein every day. I am staying under 600 calories and 40 grams of carbs. So I'm not sure what the problem is. It's very frustrating!
20. I had the same problem. I lost about 8 pounds right after surgery, then I was losing about a pound a day for another week. Then I stopped, I went about 5 days with no movement on the scale. There is a dreaded 3 week stall that a lot of people go through. So I would keep up with what you're doing (as long as your protein and calories are within your goal range) and try try try to not look at the scale for a few days. Good luck and keep me updated!
