My personal struggle.

Good morning everyone,

I hope this thread is reaching you all in good health. I am 3 weeks post op and my starting weight was 275 on 2/5 (my surgery date) and as of today 2/24 I weigh 230. As I stated I'm only 3 weeks post op and I've been to 2 family events with lots and lots of delicious food! Initially I felt some type of way that they would eat this in front of me but then I realized it's not their fault I am not able to eat but it still bothered me to watch it.

Shortly after surgery I had to go to 4 funerals, and of course I had to go to the repasts. I knew there would be lots of food and knew I had to come prepared with my water and protein shakes. It may be hard, but you just have to find a way to focus on your family, not the food.

At birthday party that's exactly what was done but at the babyshower because I am at my puree stage I was able to eat 3 spoons potatoe salad and drink water while I watched everyone else eat (lol) but because I know my limitations I can handle it I just get jealous sometimes.

I'm sure you have it under control. :)

Your weight loss is incredible! Way to go! (I'll bet everyone else was eating while you were standing there getting compliments on your weight loss!)

Watching others eat and smelling the food kind of makes me sad - a few months ago I would have been over indulging too. I was sleeved 3 weeks ago and am starting soft foods today. While all the food looks and smells good, my friends and family will be the same size this summer and I will have lost weight. That thought keeps me going when I want to eat something I shouldn't.

Yes darlin and the scale was wrong lol I had lost 27lbs in 2 and 2 weeks and it appears now that my weight loss is at a stalling point and that's cause I'm no longer on liquids alone. It's hard to be around ppl and their eating and your watching but yes honey when the summer hits I hope to be down to 200-210lbs from 275 in Feb. Much success to you my love :)
