My head is spinning!

All this talk of gastric sleeve is pretty new for me and I feel like my head is spinning! I've been to the introduction class and nutrition class, still waiting for psych eval. The thing is when I read others stories I feel good about the surgery but when I hear the nutritionist talk or read the materials from the surgeon I get confused. They say to wait ten minutes between bites, then how do you eat out? Any thoughts?

Ok thanks. Maybe the surgeon is just being precautious.

Ditto. I don't wait ten minutes but just long enough to put my fork down in-between bites. And yes, chew chew chew.

I was told that it should take 20-30 minutes to eat a meal. So practice eating a slower by talking in between bites or put the fork down and wait til you finish chew chew chewing (as kcinpa said) then pick up the fork for the next bite. Good luck with it. I'm still working on slowing down, but after tomorrow I think it's gonna be easier to slow down since there will be physical consequences...lol

Ok well maybe the surgeon is just being precautionary. Good to hear.
